24/02 Kitchen & Bathroom cupboards installed - Pine Frames & Timber Doors Hung

One of the workers must have left a door unlocked today. We took a few shot's had a bit of a look about and locked up on the way out ! Happy Days ! We are quite impressed with the Kitchen much bigger then we were expecting. The high gloss polytec doors look great too. Bi-fold doors into the Media room look great, cavity sliders will create some great sound blocking between the rooms.

Cornice Work Finished 18/02, External Doors Hung 21-22/02.

The cornice work took a few days last week. Drove past today and the external doors have been hung. For now we have been locked out. Looked inside and the cavity doors , media room bifolds and wardrobe doors have begun too. I even noticed the steel laundry tub sitting in the lounge room. Allworth rang today asking for progress payment number 3 and mentioned that the kitchen would be going in on 24/02, explains why the doors are on. Less then 4 weeks now until we move in ! Yippee.

The plasterboard , including sound check panels for media room were delivered on 11/02 along with the roof wall & media room insulation. It looks like somebody has started unpacking the insulation (very late on Friday afternoon) I sure hope nobody has knocked any off (get a life if you did !) 

Corinthian Sliding Door Frames are in (this shot is the cavity slider from Lounge into Dining/Family).

  Eaves are on.

TV, Electrical and Telephone wires are in place throughout the house ready for plaster.

Roof & wall Insulation including Sound proof insulation for Media Room has arrived.

6/2 - Bit of an up date, Solar HWS Panels on, Completion Date will be 20/03

I haven't blogged for a while, for the last week the brickies have been slogging away in 40 + Degree heat. They've done a good job and at some stage this week I would expect that they will finish off. It appears that they have the window ledges and most of the garage to finish off. I don't envy the work they have been doing in this heat honestly.

I will take photo's of the completed brick work over the coming week.

We noticed that the solar hot water panels were on the roof yesterday.

I spoke to the construction manager on Friday and he advises that the Allworth expected completion and handover date is 20/03 so not long to go now at all (and he confirms that the date includes driveway, alfresco and turf down, which is just what we want). It's an exciting time for out little family. We will be able to back the trailer in and start unpacking straight away. This is hopefully the benefit of doing the tiles, carpet, driveway, alfresco sub floor and turf to front as apart of the package. And from all accounts we won't be unhappy with the Allworth finish.
